Morning by Morning, May 27 - Pent Up to be Poured Out at Pentecost!
Good morning, Lord Jesus. I'm listening for Your leading, for Your sheep hear Your voice (John 10:27) and Your children are led by Your Spirit (Romans 8:14). ...
"For I am already being poured out as a drink offering" (2 Timothy 4:6).
Mighty Waters have been pent up to be poured out at Pentecost! Many have heard in their hearts that this coming Pentecost on the last day of this month will be an unprecedented Pentecost with a world-wide outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. Lord, let it be so!
And at the same time, every day is the day of our Personal Pentecost. Every day is the day for Your love and Your power to be poured out into our hearts by Your Spirit. "Hope does not disappoint us because God's love has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit that has been given to us" (Romans 5:5). Every day is the day for to offer our lives as a living sacrifice, to be filled up with Your Spirit and poured out in Your power, to let the Mighty Waters of Your love flow out of our lives to bring life to all You touch through Your people in our world. We're to be filled up and poured out as an offering of our lives to You (Ephesians 5:18).
Like the "golden bowls" in the hands of the elders in heaven "full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people," (Revelation 5:8), let all that's been pent up be poured out at Pentecost -- both the Pentecost that marked on the day of the Biblical calendar and the Personal Pentecost taking place every day in the hearts of the people of God marked by the Holy Spirit of God! In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
