"Do not neglect the
gift that is in you, which was given to you through prophecy with the laying on
of hands by the council of elders. Put these things into practice, devote
yourself to them, so that all may see your progress" (1 Timothy
4:14-15).
You want us to know our
gifts of God. You want us to put them into practice with devotion and passion.
You want us to keep learning, keep growing, keep serving. "Like good stewards of
the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has
received" (1 Peter 4:10).
In living out our
gifts, we are allowing You to live out that expression and dimension of Yourself
through each of us. You have given us Your Spirit, Your great Gift. And with the
Spirit of Christ abiding in us, we can be Your Body, bearing Your gifts,
touching lives in the power of Your grace (1 Corinthians 12:1-31). In devotion
to You, help me put into practice all You've entrusted to me today. In Jesus'
name I pray, Amen.
