Morning by Morning, March 20 - “Every Place” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Align my heart with Your heart and my will with Your will -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. ... As I wait and listen for Your leading, I hear in my heart “Every place.” ... What comes to mind right away are the Words You spoke to Joshua, as You directed him to advance with Your people into the land of their promise: “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon I have given you...” (Joshua 1:3). Yes, Lord. Every place I go, You go with me. Every encounter I face, You face it with me. Every battle I fight, You fight it with me. You never leave me, nor forsake me (v. 5). So I can be “strong and of good courage” (v. 6); I can be “strong and very courageous” (v. 7). As I go, keep me grounded in Your Word and faithful to You and Your will as I seek to walk in Your ways, that I may “prosper wherever (I) go” (v. 7). By the power of Your grace and under the hand of Your favor, “(I) will have good success” that glorifies You and Your name through my life as I go into the land you set before me each day (v. 8). I need “not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord (my) God is with (me) wherever (I) go” (v. 9). The courage and commission You gave Joshua, You give to us. The same promises of Your Ever-Abiding Presence You gave to Joshua, You give to every one of Your sons and daughters, as we give every place in our hearts to You. With You in our hearts, You are with us “always” in every place we go (Matthew 28:20). In Jesus’ name I pray.
