Morning by Morning, December 17, 2024 - Jesus is Still The Reason for the Season   Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are the Reason for the season of Christmas around the world. And You are the Reason for the love and peace and joy in my heart right now and in every season. ...   “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).   The angel of the Lord spoke these famous words to shepherds tending their flocks at night outside the little town of Bethlehem a long time ago. But these words are eternal words, continuing to resound today to us all, no matter what we do or where we are.   You’re not only the Savior of shepherds; You’re the Savior of us all. You’re not only the Savior to a world in desperate need of You a long time ago; You’re the Savior we need in our world today.   You save us from darkness and into Your Light. You save from hell and into Your Heaven. You save us from all that would weigh us down and weary our souls in this broken and fallen world without faith or hope or love apart from You. And You lift us up into Your Mercy and Grace that’s only available in You. But available to all, throughout our world.   “Christ the Lord” -- be “Lord” of all that I am and all I do, all that I’ll ever be and all I’ll ever do. I open my heart; I surrender my life; I entrust my soul to You alone as “Lord” of my life. From that place in my heart, I remember You and celebrate You as the Reason for the season. You still are and will always be. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today.
