Morning by Morning, December 23, 2024 - “Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room!”   Good morning, Lord Jesus. I lift up my eyes and open up my heart to You, O Lord, my Helper and Keeper and Savior of my soul (Psalm 121). ...   This morning, I woke up with the words of a Christmas song stirring in my spirit — “Let every heart prepare Him room!” ...   Yes, Lord. I open my heart. I prepare You room. Let my heart be Your home; let my body be Your temple of Your Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16).   On the night of Your birth, “there was no room for (You) at the inn” (Luke 2:7). But there’s room for You in my heart and in the heart of every soul who would turn to You and the hope and joy You have for us all. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).   Our “everlasting life” doesn’t begin when we get to heaven when we die. It begins the moment we make room for You in our hearts. And when we make room for You, when we welcome You into our hearts to be the Center of our lives, Your Holy Spirit begins to fill us with Your love and peace and joy.   “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Romans 5:5). “Now may the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that (we) may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). “You will show (us) the path of life; in Your Presence is fullness of joy!” (Psalm 16:11) Be encouraged today.
