Foretaste of the Feast to Come 11-23-07

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I open wide my heart to feast on Your presence. ... "On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wines made clear. And He will destroy on this mountain the shroud that is cast over all peoples, the sheet that is spread over all nations; He will swallow up death forever. Then the Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces, and the disgrace of His people He will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken" (Isaiah 25:6-8). Our days of feasts and celebrations are a foretaste of the great wedding feast to come -- "the marriage supper of the Lamb" (Revelation 19:19). On that day, from Your holy mountain, the eyes of Jews and Gentiles will be opened by Your grace, as the shroud and sheet of spiritual blindness is cast off and swallowed up forever. Blessed are they who feast with You now, and blessed are they who will feast with You on that day (v. 9). Let us rejoice and be glad and be ready (v. 7). "It will be said on that day, 'Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, so that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation" (Isaiah 25:9)! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. Be encouraged today!
