Morning by Morning, April 17 - Faithful One. Forever One. Faithful Forever and True. Good morning, Lord Jesus. Faithful One. Forever One. You are faithful forever and true. So I put all my faith and trust in You alone today. ... As I press into Your Presence in the communion of prayer, I’m hearing You form the words of a song of worship in my spirit: Faithful One. Forever One. You are the only One Faithful forever and true. O holy One. O worthy One. You are the mighty One Faithful forever and true. O present One. Magnificent One. You are the wisest One Faithful forever and true. O Living One. O Loving One. You are the merciful One Faithful forever and true. So I need You now. Come strengthen me now. Come lift up my faith in You now. I entrust all my life in You. For You are faithful and true. You’re faithful forever and true. ... Yes, Lord. You are faithful forever and true. As Your Spirit keeps stirring in my spirit with this simple song of worship and trust, the words of the shortest Psalm come to mind--so short and simple, but at the same time, so powerful and true: “Praise the Lord, all you nations. Praise Him, all you people of the earth. For His unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever” (Psalm 117 NLT). In these moments of worship and prayer at beginning of my morning, You’ve strengthened my spirit and encouraged my heart. You’ve realigned my focus and reassured my faith to keep trusting in You because You have always shown Yourself to be so faithful and true to me. You are the faithful One, the forever One, the holy One, the worthy One, the present One, the magnificent One, the living One, the loving One, such a mighty, wise, and merciful One. ... As You have said in Your Word, so You are saying in my spirit, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. For am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you” (Isaiah 41:10 and 13). “I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me” (Isaiah 46:9). No, there is none like You, O Lord, my God--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--my Faithful One, my Forever One. So I put all my hope and trust in You alone--now and forever. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
