Morning by Morning, April 9 - Radiant Light in the Darkness Good morning, Lord Jesus. I watch and wait for the leading of Your Spirit. ... “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His Being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven” (Hebrews 1:3). Yesterday, in our part of the world, we saw a total solar eclipse of the sun about mid-day. Light went to darkness and back to light again. For a small segment of time in the middle of the day, our world grew eerily dark and cold and still. And then there was light and warmth and life all around again. What a picture of our redemption. You created our world in light. Then darkness of sin entered in. Then in the radiance of Your glory, You spoke words of spirit and life and truth for all the world to hear, then laid down Your life for us, that all who would put their trust in You could have new life in You and the Light of Your glory shining in them. “In Him was life, and that life was the Light of all mankind. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:4-5). May the darkness of this world always lead us to Your Light. As You said long ago, You continue to speak to all who will hear, “I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life” (John 8:12). The Light of Your glory will never be eclipsed. Let Your Light shine in me and my world today. In Jesus’ name I Pray. Amen.
