Morning by Morning, April 1 - Resurrection Power and Perspective Good morning, Lord Jesus. Let Your life fill my heart. ... “Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. “But the angel answered and said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.’ “So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word” (Matthew 28:1-8). The angel said, “He is risen!” And every heart that trusts in You and all You have done for us through the sacrifice of Your love and the shedding of Your blood says, “He is risen!” And now every moment of every day, Your same Spirit rises in us! Your resurrection power rises in us! “If the Spirit if Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in (us), He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to (our) mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in (us)!” (Romans 8:11) Let Your resurrection power, Your resurrection life, become my resurrection lifestyle with my resurrection perspective: I’m not dead; I’m alive! I’m not lost; I’m found! I’m not overcome; I’m an overcomer! I’ve not been conquered; I’m more than a conqueror! I’m not a victim; I’m victorious! “And (us) He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins.... But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace (we) have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus!” (Ephesians 2:1-6) Because You have taken Your place in Your resurrection glory, I can take me place in You! Because You are alive, I am alive! Because You have risen, I am risen in You! Give me the grace to live my days from that resurrection perspective. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
