Morning by Morning, April 16 - “I Am With You, My Beloved Son.” Good morning, Lord Jesus. All I am, all I have, I give to You, my All in All (1 Corinthians 15;28). ... As I wait and watch for Your leading this morning, pressing into Your Presence, what comes into my heart and up to my mind are these gentle, reassuring words: “I am with you, My beloved son.” ... In Your words, I hear so much. ... “I am with you.” ... You are “I AM” (Exodus 3:14). And You are with me. You’re “always” with me wherever I am, “even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). You’ll never leave me nor forsake me, never abandon me nor leave me alone nor hanging out to dry in isolation from Your Presence (Hebrews 13:5). “My beloved son.” ... I am Yours and You are mine (Song of Songs 2:16). I belong to You and I am Your son, a son of God, a child of God, for You are my Father. “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (Romans 8:16). And I’m not only Your son, but a “beloved” son, Your greatly loved son. You love me; You’re for me. “To the praise of the glory of (Your) grace, by which (You) made us accepted in the Beloved” (Ephesians 1:6). You love me “with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3). You call me by name and I am Yours (Isaiah 43:1). You love me and honor and have given so much for me, ever reminding me that You are forever with me, declaring over me “I AM the Lord your God” (Isaiah 43:4-5). Not only me, but as You have said, “Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed (you), yes, I have made (you)” (Isaiah 43:7). “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. That is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him” (1 John 3:1). So it’s not prideful or delusional to receive and accept and embrace Your word for me this morning. It’s simply the Truth, according to Your Word. I am Your beloved son. And You are with me. Thank You, my Beloved Father. You are the Lord, my God--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You are my Beloved and I am Yours (Song of Songs 2:16). Let that Truth of Your Word You’ve sown into my spirit this morning never leave me and never fail me--not now nor through the moments of my day, nor through the days of my life, no matter what challenges lie ahead or battles I’ll face, or trials I’ll have to endure and be empowered to overcome. The Truth will always remain: I am Your beloved son. And You are with me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
