Morning by Morning, June 3 - Revival Tonight and Revival Right Now!
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Fill me afresh and overflowing with Your Holy Spirit today (Ephesians 5:18). Like every one of Your disciples, let Your Light shine and let Your Love flow everywhere I go, to everyone I meet, and with every word I speak, everything I do, and everything I am (Matthew 5:14). ...
Tonight I’ll be preaching a revival just down the road from our home in Fredericksburg, Texas -- Revival at the Barn behind Yee Haw Ranch. I just looked it up and it’s literally 1.4 miles from my front door to the barn door. I just realized the prophetic significance -- how blessed we are to “live in revival!” And I’m up extra early this morning, seeking Your heart for every soul who will come and every life You’ll change.
Lord, let me see every one of them with the eyes of heaven and with the Father heart of God. Let them see You and not me; hear Your words and not mine. Your Presence is what matters. And I know in my heart as I pray for this day of revival that You will be present to save, present to heal, present to deliver, present to pour out Your love and Your power to all who are weary and thirsty and hungry for more of You -- whether they know it or not.
Some will have come to Fredericksburg this weekend to pick our famous peaches, but they are about to “taste and see that the Lord is Good” (Psalm 34:8). And as my pastor would add, “All the Time!” Some will have come to experience our famous vineyards and wineries, but they are about to be filled up with “new wine” and leave their “old wineskins” behind forever (Matthew 9:17). Some will have come to spend some time in our famous German breweries, but they are about to drink deeply of the only “Spirit” who can truly satisfy their every longing and fill the emptiness of their soul (Romans 8:9).
Some will come empty -- empty because they cried out their last tears over the Uvalde school shooting, just a little under a hundred miles from here; empty because they’ve nearly spent their last dollar from their ever-dwindling bank account amidst the ever-increasing inflation; empty because they’ve nearly spent their last measure of hope and faith in the goodness of God or the trustworthiness of government, desperately needing a breakthrough and half-afraid it’s never going to come or just pass them by altogether. But they are about to “be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18) and set ablaze with the Holy Fire of the Living God in their own personal Pentecost just in time for Pentecost Sunday at the end of this weekend! (Acts 1:5)
I’m up early because I can’t sleep. I’m pressing in in prayer because I can’t wait. I’m so full of expectant faith I’m about to burst! There’s revival tonight and my spirit is in revival right now!
Lord, send Your breakthrough revival angels! Lord, send Your breakthrough revival anointing! Lord, send Your breakthrough word to heal and deliver and save! (Psalm 107:20)
We wait for You (Isaiah 40:31). And at the same time, You are already here, waiting for us (Luke 17:21).
“O that You would tear open the heavens and come down,
so that the mountains would quake at Your presence--
as when fire kindles brushwood
and the fire causes water to boil--
to make Your name known to Your adversaries,
so that the nations might tremble at Your Presence!
When You did awesome deeds that we did not expect,
You came down; the mountains quaked at Your Presence.
From ages past no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides You,
who works for those who wait for Him!” (Isaiah 64:1-4)
I can’t wait! Fill us up with Your Oil and set us ablaze with Your Fire!
As the Jason Upton worship song declares, “Let the Fire fall, let the Wind blow, let the Glory come down!”
“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ ... Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:17-20) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
