Morning by Morning, February 21 - Seeking the Face of God
Good morning, Lord Jesus. As I take time to seek Your face, to listen for Your heart, You’re changing me and making me more like You: “And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18). As stated in the New Living Translation: “So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord--who is the Spirit--makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT). ...
I was forever changed on the day You saved me by Your grace and mercy and love (Ephesians 2:5). And I’ll be forever changed when You return at Your second coming, “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet” when “we will all be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
And every day between the day of my salvation and the day of Your return, You are changing me and making me more like You each day, as I keep lifting my eyes to You, seeking You, beholding You, allowing You to make me more like You. As stated in the New King James Version:
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV).
Yes, Lord. Face to face, “from glory to glory,” keep removing the “veil” from my face, the blinders from my eyes, the hardness from my heart, so I can see You as You are. Then I can see myself as I am -- a child of God, led by the Spirit of God, being changed into the image of the Son of God, day by day, morning by morning, from glory to glory:
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. For (we) did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but (we) have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’ it is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ--if, in fact, we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him” (Romans 8:14-17).
Come, Holy Spirit. Spirit of the Living God, come fall afresh on me today. Come stir up within me today a fresh passion for Jesus, as I turn my eyes to intentionally look to Jesus today. Open the eyes of my heart, to behold the Lord (Ephesians 1:18).
Embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, help me begin my day and live out this day, “looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of (my) faith” (Hebrews 12:2), as You keep conforming me into the image of the Son of God (Romans 8:29). As He is, so am I to be (1 John 4:17). As He is, so am I to become, “from glory to glory,” seeking Him spirit to Spirit, heart to Heart, from deep to Deep, “face to face” (1 Corinthians 13:12). As David declared as a man after God’s own heart, “‘Come,’ my heart says, ‘seek His face!’ Your face, Lord, do I seek” (Psalm 27:8). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

My friend, may you be stirred up in your spirit to seek the face of the Lord today -- here at the beginning of your day and throughout the moments of your day -- looking to Jesus in Jesus' name. Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!
