Fishers and Menders - June 7

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I welcome and embrace You in spirit, soul, and body. ...

"As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea-for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, 'Follow Me and I will make you fish for people.' And immediately they left their nets and followed Him. As He went a little farther, He saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John, who were in their boats mending the nets. Immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, and followed Him" (Mark 1:16-20).

Some will cast the nets, while others mend them. Some will catch the fish, while others clean them. Some will reach out to the lonely and lost, while others come alongside them with healing and freedom. But all are called to respond to Your call, to come into alignment with the relationships You establish for Your purposes, and follow You.

Lord, call us and align us. Equip us and empower us. Give us courage to let go of anything we've been doing, no matter how productive, that's no longer the task at hand. Give us grace to arise and go and follow You wherever You lead in this great ministry of the love of people, fishing for their souls and mending their hearts. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

My Treasure - June 6

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be at the center of all I think and all I do today. ...

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes out and sells all that he has and buys that field" (Matthew 13:44).

Like the man who found treasure hidden in a field, I have found the kingdom of heaven, and I treasure it in my heart. It's worth everything. But it's not something anyone can buy or sell. "For the kingdom of God is not food or drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17).

Heaven is a place I'll go when I die, but it's also a peace I can have everyday here in my heart-the righteousness, peace, and joy of God that abides in me by Your Spirit. Lord, bring me into the place of deeper righteousness-right with You, right with others, right within myself. Bring me into the place of deeper peace-at peace with You, peace with others, peace within myself. And bring me into the place of deeper joy-the joy of the Lord that is my strength, my expression, and my reward.

This is my treasure, worth all that I have. Let me never take it for granted. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Barefoot and Free - June 5

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Fill me with Your Spirit, lead me in Your path. ...

"When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, 'Moses, Moses!' And he said, 'Here I am.' Then He said, 'Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.'" (Exodus 3:4-5).

I woke up this morning hearing these words in my spirit, "Barefoot and free." That struck me as funny, but as I waited and listened, it didn't seem You were being funny, but rather more serious. Lord, what are You saying?

It seems I'm hearing You say: "My son, everywhere you go, everywhere you set your feet is holy ground, because I am with you. In your heart, remove your shoes, for where you stand is holy ground. I am within you by My Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So you are barefoot and free in My Presence and by My Spirit."

Yes, Lord. Thank You for this perspective. Let me carry it with me throughout the moments of my day. You are within me and You are holy; so where I go, You go with me and release the nature of Your Holy Spirit and the freedom of Your Spirit. "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom" (2 Corinthians 3:17). In my spirit, filled with Your Spirit, I am barefoot and free. Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

"Astonished at the Greatness of God" - June 4

Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are my Lord and Savior, my Healer and Deliverer, my Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace, my All in All. I worship You and welcome You into all the moments of my day. ...

"Just then a man from the crowd shouted, 'Teacher, I beg You to look at my son; he is my only child. Suddenly a spirit seized him and all at once he shrieks. It convulses him until he foams at the mouth; it mauls him and will scarcely leave him.... While he was coming, the demon dashed him to the ground in convulsions. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father. And all were astonished at the greatness of God" (Luke 9:38-43).

We were astonished by Your greatness last night, O God. We were praying for Your people and sharing the words that came to us from the Father's heart over each one when a young boy with a condition that wouldn't let him speak clearly began to motion of pain in his stomach. We turned our attention to him in prayer and he started to convulse and draw up in his limbs, gagging as if ready to throw up. You turned Your attention to him as well, as many of us stretched out our hearts and hands to comfort him and pray for him in the power of Your love and authority of Your name.

After he seemed to be in a measure of peace in Your arms, with Your Holy Spirit at work, we continued to speak Your words and pray for Your people. What joy it was when this young man got up to come show us all his pain was gone and Your peace had come. His mother came up to declare Your praise and the peace You gave her through this ordeal in the middle of church. And how thrilled she was that her son had spoken so clearly the pastor's name during the time of prayer in what must have been the first time he had spoken so clearly. We give all glory and praise to You!

You are a healing God, mighty to save and set us free. And though we don't always see the immediate demonstration of Your power and love in this broken, fallen world where the Kingdom of God is not yet fully manifested on earth as it is in heaven, we celebrate the times we see You break in and break through. Like Your first disciples, we celebrate the times we see and shout, "Lord, in Your name even the demons submit to us!" (Luke 10:17) Like them, we stand astonished at the greatness of God! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

Possessed - June 1

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I entrust my heart and life to You today. ...

"But the Spirit of the Lord took possession of Gideon..." (Judges 6:34).

Possession is ownership. Possession is the place of absolute authority. Possession is the position of executive control and final say. Lord, Your Spirit took possession of Gideon; and I ask You to take possession of me.

Possess my thoughts and my desires. Possess my hopes and my dreams. Possess my plans and my purposes. All that I am and all that I have belong to You alone. As best as I can and all by Your grace, I yield my life and entrust myself completely to You. I've come to trust You to know what's best for me.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, I am "bought with a price," no longer my own (1 Corinthians 6:20). I willingly choose to be a man possessed by the Spirit of God. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

"My Special Possession" - May 31

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Draw me close; help me hear; guide my thoughts; direct my path. ...

"They shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, My special possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them as parents spare their children who serve them. Then once more you shall see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him" (Malachi 3:17-18).

Last night we were so honored to be welcomed by the Native American People and those who gathered with us on the site of the old Methodist Mission on the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina. We asked for You to give us Your heart and Your words for each one of Your children. And You poured out Your prophetic words of encouragement and comfort for each one there, hungering to hear the Father's heart (1 Corinthians 14:3).

Thank You that You see us as Your special possessions, Your treasured jewels. You know us each by name and know us each as we truly are. And despite all our sins and failures, despite all our broken hearts and shattered dreams, You love us deeply and draw us intimately into Your embrace and Your purposes for our lives. O how You love us so. Help us see that and believe that every moment of every day. Help us live into the fullness of our inheritance as children of God, our great Creator and Father (Ephesians 1:11). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

"Fresh Oil" - May 30

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Fill my mind with Your thoughts and my heart with Your desires. Make me more like You each day. ...

"But You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; You have poured over me fresh oil" (Psalm 92:10).

I seek Your fresh oil today. I seek a fresh anointing of Your Holy Spirit. While I thank You and praise You for yesterday's anointing, I want to advance with You. I don't want to live off of the stories of the past, but in the experiences and encounters of each new day.

Lord, free me to live more moment by moment and day by day. I need the fresh oil of Your Spirit morning by morning. The lamp of my spirit is open to be filled afresh every day. Now let Your light burn and Your glory shine through my life today. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Announcing Heather Butler as Pastor of Prayer Ministries

Friends of Messiah Ministries,

We are so excited to let you know that Rev. Heather Butler, our dear friend in Wales, has accepted our invitation to be our Pastor of Prayer Ministries. She immediately expressed that this was the desire of her heart and is graciously contributing her gifts and passion for this place on our team at Messiah Ministries.
Heather will be coordinating our prayer cover, interactive prayer teams, helping coordinate prayer ministry appointments, and praying for people over the phone and through Skype. We are so honored and thrilled to have this dimension of our ministry in place. Heather is including her note of greeting below to express her desires for this strategic position with our ministry.
Sylvia and I are so grateful to you for all your prayers, encouragement and support that are so essential to our being able to fulfill our calling and destiny through Messiah Ministries. Please keep in touch as we move forward in this exciting season. And may the Lord pour out His exceeding, abundant blessings upon your lives, far above all you can ask or imagine!

Greeting from Heather Butler, Our Pastor of Prayer Ministries
Dear Friends,

I count it such a joy to be able to stand with you all in prayer for Messiah Ministries. I know many of you from my visits and our correspondence over the internet. It's no secret that I have always had a heart for this ministry, and have been praying this last seven years for Tommy's diary dates, and for those prayer requests that have come to us. During that time, friendships have flourished, and my heart has grown more passionate for those who are ministered to by Tommy and Sylvia and for the work of the Lord in them.

Messiah Ministries has grown, and is growing still. And now more than ever it's essential that we unite to pray for Tommy and Sylvia in their ministry trips and every aspect of the ministry.

You have been such a faithful, supportive and loving team, who have grown together, and its so wonderful to have been asked to coordinate prayer in the midst of you all.

Thank you so much for your love and for your prayers as I transition into this position. I will need your prayers as I learn how to pass on information to you all, and how to deal with many different issues.

I am blessed indeed and looking forward to seeing breakthrough on many levels this coming year in Messiah Ministries, and in our own lives and those we serve.

I am accessible to you all, so please feel free to email or chat with me by email or on Facebook.

Every blessing,
Heather

Gift of Joy - May 29

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Let the adventure of our day begin. Let Your name be the first word that I speak and Your will be the first choice of my heart. ...

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast love in the morning, and Your faithfulness by night.... For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your work; at the works of Your hands I sing for joy" (Psalm 92:1-4).

You make me glad and Your fill me with joy. Every day is not easy and every task is not fun, but regardless of what I may face and regardless of what I may feel, You are always ready to fill me with joy. Your joy is my strength, O Lord (Nehemiah 8:10).

When I think of Your steadfast love in the morning, You fill me with joy. When I think of Your faithfulness at night, You fill me with joy. When I think about You and all You've done for me and in me and through me, You fill me with joy. The gift of joy is part of my inheritance as a child of the King of the Kingdom of God. "For the Kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17).

So by the power of the grace of God, I will not let anything steal my gift of joy. It is precious treasure-to be guarded and cherished, to be taken in and given away-regardless of what may try to come. Even the sufferings of the cross could not steel away Your gift of the Father's joy from You. It was "for the sake of the joy that was set before (You)" that You "endured the cross, disregarding its shame" (Hebrews 12:2). And it's for the sake of the joy that I praise You and thank You for the adventures to come this day with You. You have made me glad and I will sing for joy. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

"More Than Ever" - May 28

Good morning, Lord Jesus. King of kings and Lord of lords, be King and Lord of every moment of my day. ...
"Yet more than ever believers were added to the Lord, great numbers of both men and women, so that they even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on cots and mats, in order that Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he came by. A great number of people would also gather from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all cured" (Acts 5:14-16).
More than ever, believers were added to the Body of Christ. More than ever, the presence and power of God rested upon the disciples. More than ever, diseases and demons were overcome and destroyed by the blood of the Lamb and the name of Jesus. The experience and expression of Your Kingdom coming and Your will being done, on earth as it is in heaven, increased and abounded more and more every day. And You are "the same yesterday, and today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).
Your mission has not changed: "The Son of God was revealed for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). And Your commission has not changed: "As the Father sent Me, so I send you" (John 20:21). So Lord let us experience and express You and Your Kingdom more and more every day. Overshadow us with Your presence and power, so that even our shadows are an extension of Your Kingdom through our lives, more than ever. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Spiritual Authority - May 25

Good morning, Lord Jesus. With a hungry heart and an open spirit, I seek Your face an listen for Your voice in these first moments of my morning with You. ...

"He called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over unclean spirits.... So they went out and proclaimed that all should repent. They cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them" (Mark 6:7-13).

All authority in heaven and earth has been given to You (Matthew 28:18). And in the sovereignty of God and the mystery of faith, You have also entrusted authority to us, even over demons and disease. "The heavens are the Lord's heavens, but the earth He has given to human beings" (Psalm 115:16).

Lord, let me know the measure and the means of authority You've entrusted to me today. Lead me to use it in Your power for Your purposes. Give me the right heart and right motives. Give me the humility to know that any authority in me comes from You and also the faith to believe You desire to express Your authority through me. "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. To Him belong the glory and the power forever and ever" (1 Peter 4:10-11). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

"Anointed by the Holy One" - May 24

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Help me start this day and live it out emptied of my own will and completely yielded to Your will, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. ...

"But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and all of you have knowledge.... Let what you have heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father.... As for you the anointing that you received from Him abides in you, and so you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in Him" (1 John 2:20-27).

Holy Spirit-Spirit of Christ, Spirit of Truth-abide in me. Holy One, teach me and lead me always to the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Remind me of Your truth and empower me to "live and move and have (my) being" in You (Acts 17:28).

God the Father, You are always sending Your Holy Spirit. God the Holy Spirit, You are always leading me to Jesus. God the Son, You are always perfectly revealing the heart and ways and will of my Father. Fill me up with Your anointing and pour me out in Your service. Father, You have embraced us in Christ and anointed us with Your Spirit to live our lives for You and live our lives in You. "It is God who established us with you in Christ and has anointed us, by putting His seal on us and giving us His Spirit in our hearts as a first installment" (2 Corinthians 1:21-22). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Holy Hunger, Humble Heart - May 23

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be my vision, O Lord of my heart. ...

"Then His disciples asked Him what this parable meant. He said, 'To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but to others I speak in parables, so that 'looking they may not perceive, and listening they may not understand' " (Luke 8:9-10).

Lord, I want to be one who is able to look and see, to listen and hear. I want to be one who is able to perceive and understand Your words of spirit and life. I want to be one who is able to know and embrace Your secrets of the kingdom of God.

Give me a holy hunger to seek and a humble heart to learn. "It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out" (Proverbs 25:2). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Personal Pentecost - May 22

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I am Yours, and You are mine. Draw near to me, as I draw near to You. I abide in You, as You abide in me. ...

"While staying with them, He ordered them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait there for the promise of the Father. 'This,' He said, 'is what you have heard from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.... You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:4-8).

Every morning, I want to wait on You to be clothed with Your power before going out into my day. Every morning, I want to wait for the My Father's promise of a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit. Every morning, I want to wait for Your holy fire to fall and Your Holy Spirit to arise in my daily encounter with the Living God in these moments of personal Pentecost.

I don't want to get up and go anywhere without You. I don't want to do anything in my own power, in my own wisdom, out of my own will apart from Yours. I want to yield and surrender all to You. Then I can be Your witness, without tooting my own horn. Then I can seek Your glory, without seeking to build my own kingdom. Then I can bear much from that will last forever, without wasting the time and talents You've entrusted to me like so much wood and hay and stubble that will only last as long as the next strong wind.

Come, Holy Spirit. Fill me afresh today. I thirst for You in the intimate communion of prayer and the desperate cry of my heart for my personal Pentecost. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Friends, thank you for praying for us at our School of Ministry last weekend hosted with Pastor Jeff Bealmear at First Methodist Church in Aledo, Illinois. The Lord moved mightily, with many being activated into their spiritual gifts and with many experiences of healnig and breakthrough. Then during our time of Holy Communion and impartation at the close Sunday night, anointing oil was supernaturally flowing through Sylvia's hands, as we prayed blessings for everyone. That's never happened before and was very exciting! We felt like it was a physical expression of the spiritual grace that the anointing of the Holy Spirit was breaking the yokes of spiritual bondage and destroying the works of darkness (Isaiah 10:27; 1 John 3:8).

We had a great time with our great friends at Door of Life Ministries in Greensburg, Illinois last night, as Sylvia spoke on prophetic dream interpretation. "Taught by God" - May 18

Good morning, Lord Jesus. All is well with my soul, when I begin my day in Your embrace. ...

"It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me" (John 6:45).

Holy Spirit, You are always leading me to Jesus. Lord Jesus, You are always perfectly revealing my Father. Heavenly Father, You are always sending Your Holy Spirit. Together as One, yet in these three Persons of Your Being, expressing and revealing Yourself in the three Dimensions, You are always reaching out to embrace me, to teach me Your ways, to change me into Your image, and to conform me to Your nature. And though all this is always available to me, I must respond to Your grace by coming to You.

So I come to You in these first moments of my day. I open my spirit to encounter Your embrace and open my mind to learn Your ways. I want to be one who is "taught by God." And I admit I have much to learn. But You've taught me this much: You're a God who loves to give to those who ask. So in faith and trust, I humble myself to ask for Your teaching and welcome Your Spirit, who comes in Your name from our Father in heaven, to teach me Your ways and conform me to Your nature (v. 14:26). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

"Above Every Name" - May 16

Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. You are my King and my Lord, and I welcome You in to rule and reign in my life today. ...

"God put this power to work in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age to come. And He has put all things under His feet and has made Him head over all things for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all" (Ephesians 1:20-23).

Lord Jesus, Your name is above every name. Your authority is above every authority. Your power is above every power. All things are under Your feet-under Your authority and power-the power and authority of the name of Jesus.

And then in the mystery of faith and the sovereignty of God, You encourage us to call on Your name, to ask in Your name, to speak in the authority of Your name (John 14:14). We are Your body, filled with Your Spirit, growing in Your nature, to fulfill Your purposes in the power of Your name. And there is great power-all power and authority-in the name of Jesus.

Lord Jesus, let the power of Your name forgive every sin, heal every wound, and break every chain in me and in us. Then let it forgive and heal and break through us as Your body, "the fullness of Him who fills all in all." In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Please come join us if you can and pray for us if you can't This Weekend May 18-20 in Aledo, Illinois for our School of Ministry hosted at The First Methodist Church with my great friend, Pastor Jeff Bealmear. Upcoming Ministry Events with Tommy & Sylvia Hays | Messiah Ministries

"The Law of Kindness" - May 15

Good morning, Lord Jesus. There's power in Your name. There's peace in Your Presence. There's hope in Your voice. There's encouragement in Your Word. So I come into Your Presence in the peaceful communion of my morning prayer to call on Your name, meditate on Your Word and listen for Your voice. ...

"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness" (Proverbs 31:26, NKJ).

Lord, teach me the law of kindness. Write in on my heart and express it through my mouth. "Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honor" (v. 21:21).

As I go through the encounters and experiences of my day, let my countenance be kind. Let my eyes and words express the kindness of Your Spirit dwelling in me, for "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 5:22). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

True Heart - May 14

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I can always speak and know You are listening, because You're always here. ...

"Those who speak on their own seek their own glory, but the one who seeks the glory of Him who sent him is true, and there is nothing false in him" (John 7:18).

I want my heart to be true and I want my words to be true. I want my life to be one that leads others to the One who is true, as I try to follow You and worship You in spirit and in truth. Please forgive me when I fail, strengthen me when I'm weak, and correct me when I'm wrong.

Remind me throughout the moments of my day that I am seeking Your glory, honoring Your name, advancing Your kingdom-not my own. Continue to free me from self-centeredness and self-righteousness. Continue to move in my spirit to lift up my eyes and open up my heart to trust in the One who is true. Then out of the abundance of my heart, let my mouth and my life speak (Luke 6:45). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

"Ask God" - May 11

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Spirit to spirit, Deep to deep, I embrace You-Father, Son and Holy Spirit-in the communion of prayer at the foundation of my day. ...

"If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given to you. But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind; for the doubter, being double-minded and unstable in every way, must not expect to receive anything from the Lord" (James 1:5-8).

Your Word invites me to ask You for wisdom. And Your Word calls me to ask in faith, believing that what I ask will be given to me. So Father, in the name of Jesus, I do ask You for wisdom; I repent and reject and renounce all doubt and unbelief; I open my mind to Your thoughts and my heart to Your desires; and I lay my questions and needs before You, my wise King, faithful Friend, and gracious God. ...

Now, as I wait and listen for Your wisdom in prayer and then, as I arise and go about my day, continuing to abide in Your Presence by Your Spirit with me and within me, I will be expectant for Your wisdom to guide my choices and direct my path. "And this is the boldness we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of Him" (1 John 5:14-15). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

My Friend in the journey of prayer, I pray for God's wisdom in all your needs and questions; and I pray you'd be filled with great hope and expectant faith that the wise One who loves you so will guide your steps and direct your paths. Thank you for praying the same for me.

“A True Heart in Full Assurance of Faith” - May 10

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name, lift up my eyes, and open up my heart. Speak, Lord, for I am listening.

“Therefore, my friends, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that He opened for us through the curtain (that is, through His flesh), and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who has promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:19-20).

By the power of Your grace, by the blood of Jesus, I will not waver, but hold fast. I will not hold back, but press in. I will not give up, but surrender all.

You remind me of Your promises to remind me how to pray. You remind me of Your prophecies to remind me what to believe. You remind me of Your nature to remind me to trust.

Only by the blood of Jesus can I have clean hands and a pure heart. Only by the blood of Jesus can I enter into the holy place of Your abiding Presence. Only by the blood of Jesus can I call out Your name, lift up my eyes and open up my heart to embrace this gift of “a true heart in full assurance of faith.” So by the blood of Jesus, I do. By the grace of God, I hold fast to this confession of my hope without wavering. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
