Morning by Morning, Oct 3 - Wholly Yours, Forever Yours

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Let Your light come down and fill my soul; let Your love rise up and let it flow.  ...

Let Your Light come down and fill my soul
Let Your Love rise up and let it flow

Let Your Light come down and fill my soul
Let Your Love rise up and let it flow

I am wholly Yours
I'm Forever Yours

I will not back off; I will not let go
By the grace of God, I must press on

I will not back off; I will not let go
By the grace of God, I must press on

I am wholly Yours
I'm Forever Yours

Just light my path and send me forth
With Your Word and Your Spirit in control

Just light my path and send me forth
With Your Word and Your Spirit in control

I am wholly Yours
I'm Forever Yours

As the Body and the Bride, come make us one
That the world may know You've sent Your Son

As the Body and the Bride, come make us one
That the world may know You've sent Your Son

I am wholly Yours
I'm Forever Yours

I am wholly Yours
I'm Forever Yours

Yes, Lord. Thank You for writing this song of declaration in my spirit this morning. Let it be so. "It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me" (Galatians 2:20). And "with gratitude in (my) heart (I will) sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God" (Colossians 3:16). In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Morning by Morning, October 2 - Always Near

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I open wide my heart and welcome in Your Spirit deeply into my spirit. Make me one with You in the communion of prayer, as I begin my day deliberately abiding in the depths of Your Presence.  ...

"When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all" (Psalm 34:17-19).

We're only "the righteous" because of the blood of the Righteous One. We're only forgiven because of the Forgiving One, just as we are only the sons and daughters of God because of the Fathering One. But it's all true -- we are forgiven and clean, righteous and pure, even holy in the sight of the Holy One who is our merciful and mighty Father. And nothing can separate us from the One who loves us (Romans 8:38-39). You're always near.

And when we cry for help, You hear us and answer us. When we're weary and brokenhearted, You hold our hearts in Your hands. When we are wounded and crushed, You breathe new life into our spirits. When we are afflicted or confused, rejected or ashamed, discouraged or depressed, lonely or afraid, You rescue us and deliver us in the security and safety of Your strong arms.

Why? ...

"Because I love You."

Why do You love us?

"Because I am Love. And I created you for a relationship of love with Me. I cannot help but love. I cannot help but love you. That's who I Am. And that's who I have created you to become. As I Am, so are you to be in this world."

Yes, Lord. Thank You for loving me. Thank you for hearing me when I call, for healing me and forgiving me, for rescuing and delivering me all these times, all out of Your love. You are my faithful Father. And I am Your beloved child, always and forever. Help me grow up to be more like You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Morning by Morning, September 30 - Always with Us

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I love You, Lord, in every Dimension of Your Being -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- from every dimension of my being -- spirit, soul, and body -- and I welcome You into every dimension of my life -- past, present, and future.  ...

"For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:  I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with those who are contrite and humble in spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and revive the heart of the contrite" (Isaiah 57:15).

You are the God who dwells in the highest heaven, yet You also humble Yourself to dwell in our hearts. You see the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end, yet You also see every tear that falls in every moment of our pain. You are surrounded by heavenly, holy beings full of peace and love and joy, yet You also delight to surround each of us and celebrate with us every moment of laughter. You are with us always (Matthew 28:20).

Lord, give me a sense of Your Presence with me throughout the moments of my day. Remind me that You are with me not matter where I am, not matter what I do (Psalm 139:8). Let the knowledge of that truth help keep me accountable, but also secure, as one of Your children who knows his Father is always watching but also always near. "You show me the path of life. In Your Presence there is fullness of joy" (Psalm 16:11). In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

My Friend,  may you be comforted and secure in the knowledge of the truth Your Father God is always with you, and in His Presence there is fullness of joy. Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!

Friends, that you so much for your prayers for us for our team last weekend at Calvary United Methodist Church in Flint, Michigan at our "Hearing God and Prophecy" conference. The Holy Spirit was teaching us to pray and prophecy in the love of God to build up, encourage, and comfort His people from His heart (1 Corinthians 14:1-3).

We are teaching our Level 1 School of Ministry for Sozo Inner Healing Prayer Ministry Thursday through Saturday this week, Oct 3-5, being hosted at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. Only a few seats are left so please contact us right away if you'd like to come:  www.RaphaGodMinistries.com

Morning by Morning, September 8 - Priority of Perspective

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Open the eyes of my heart to see You. Awaken and sharpen all my spiritual senses to experience and encounter You, Lord God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- now and throughout the moments of my day.  ...

"So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:1-3).

By the power of the grace of God, I willingly choose to deliberately set my mind on the things that are above, on the things are unseen, on the things of the spiritual, heavenly realm. My feet are on earth, but my heart is heaven. Help me keep the priority of my perspective straight, "because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:16).

Some say we shouldn't be so heavenly-minded that we are no earthly good. Your Word says just the opposite. Your Word says we are not to set our minds on things that are on earth, but in the heavens. We're to be aware of the things of earth, to be engaged with the things of earth, but to have the priority of our perspective on the spiritual, heavenly realm. As You taught us to pray, we are to constantly seek Your heavenly realm and then pray, "Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10).

Lord, I don't want to be detached, but I also don't want to be defined by the limitations and restrictions of this earthly realm. In Christ, I'm created for both -- living in the earthly realm and abiding in the heavenly realm. "But God, who is rich in mercy, out the great love with which He loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ -- by grace you have been saved -- and raised us up with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 1:4-6). So let me live another day with my head and my heart in the clouds of heaven. Let that be my priority of perspective. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

My Friend,  may the Lord give you His priority of perspective. May He open the eyes of your heart to see Him and His heavenly realm, as you grow in your experiences and encounters with Him and His heavenly realm with all your spiritual senses. Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!

Morning by Morning, September 26 - "One Spirit with Him"

Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are One with the Father and One with the Holy Spirit. Be One within me as You make me more like You today.  ...

"But anyone united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him" (1 Corinthians 6:15).

Lord, let Your mind be united with my mind. Let Your heart be united with my heart. Let Your thoughts and Your desires and Your will be united with mine. By Your Spirit at work within my spirit, cause me to desire what is right and do what is right, to desire Your ways and do what You say -- not just because I have to, but because I want to (Philippians 2:13).

I don't have the power to live a life that pleases You in my own power. Apart from You, I can do nothing (John 15:5). But I am never apart from You; You are with me always (Matthew 28:20). You never push me away and Your never let go. "For You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on You" (Psalm 86:5). You constantly create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10).

Your Holy Spirit -- the very Spirit of Christ, the Promise of the Father, the Seal of my redemption, the Guardian and Guide of my soul -- dwells in me and is at work with in me, making me more like You in "spirit and soul and body" that I may be "sound and blameless at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thessalonians 5:23). By the grace of God, that's my desire -- despite every sin and failure to the contrary, along my journey of spiritual maturity to grow up into the image of Christ (Romans 8:29). Now throughout the moments of my day, let my spirit be one spirit with You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

My Friend,  I pray you would be one spirit with the Lord, as His Holy Spirit is at work within your spirit to make you more like Him today. Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!

Morning by Morning, September 25 - One Body, One Spirit

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Make me one with You, one with Your Body of Christ, one in ministry with all Your Body to all the world until I feast with You at Your heavenly banquet in final victory.  ...

"There is one Body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all" (Ephesians 4:4-6).

Your Spirit is aligning and empowering all the parts of Your Body. Together, we are one in the Spirit and one in the Lord. You're calling us to come together and get along. You're teaching us how we need You and need one another, so that we can fully know our identity and fulfill our destiny in Christ.

You're equipping us together as one, showing us the foolishness and failure that we've experienced when we've tried to go it alone out of our selfish need for control, fear of rejection, and mindset of mistrust (v. 4:12). You're growing us up and building us up -- both personally and in relationship with those You've chosen to divinely align in our lives -- "until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ" (v. 4:13). In the fullness of Your time and fulfillment of Your plan, for each one of us and for all of us together, we will be Your "whole Body, joined and knit together ... working properly ... building itself up in love" (v. 4:16).

As one Body in one Spirit, You will open up Your heavens, pour out Your power, and manifest Your glory. In the place of unity and maturity as one with You and one with each other, You will release the fullness of your favor and command the faithfulness of Your blessing (Psalm 133:1-3). Lord, let it be so. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

My Friend,  I pray the Holy Spirit of the Living God will divinely align you and mightily empower you as one with the Lord and one with those He's knitting together in your life and ministry for His glory. Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!

Morning by Morning, September 24 - "In the Valley of Decision"

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I lift up my heart, open up my spirit, seeking Your face and listening for Your voice.  ...

"Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision" (Joel 3:14).

One day, You will come again to judge the living and the dead (1 Peter 4:5). "For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may receive recompense for what has been done in the body, whether good or evil" (2 Corinthians 5:10). "For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written, 'As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.' So then each of us will be accountable to God" (Romans 14:10-12).

But already, every day, You set before us life or death, blessings or curses, the choice to walk in the ways of the Lord or walk in the ways of our flesh. In the freedom that a relationship of love requires, You allow us the freedom to depend upon ourselves or depend upon You, to trust in ourselves or to trust in You. And by the grace of God, we can trust and depend upon Your power, not our power, on Your righteousness and not our righteousness. "That is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting (our) trespasses against (us) (2 Corinthians 5:19).

So Lord, today is my day of decision. Today is my day of salvation. Your Spirit urges us every day "not to accept the grace of God in vain. For He says, 'At an acceptable I have listened to you, and on a day of salvation I have helped you.' See, now is the acceptable time; see, now is the day of salvation!" (2 Corinthians 6:1-2). By the power and the grace of God, let me "choose this day" that I will serve You, that I will live this day for You, not accepting the grace of God in vain (Joshua 24:15).

Let me be dead to myself and "alive to God in Christ Jesus" (Romans 6:11). Today the "Spirit of Christ" lives in me (Romans 8:9). And by the power of the Spirit of Christ living in me, let me not live another day for myself. On this day of decision, empower me to choose to live for the One who died and was raised for me, for the One who loves me and forgives me, heals me and frees me, for the One who longs to live in me and through me to the glory of God (2 Corinthians 5:15). In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

Tommy,  I pray the Holy Spirit will empower You to choose this day to live your life in the power of Christ for the glory of God. Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!

Friends, thank you so much for your prayer for us last weekend for the Holy Spirit Revival at Kingswood United Methodist Church in Amarillo, Texas. The Lord moved mightily among us. By Sunday afternoon, the Holy Spirit moved across the room with every one praying Spirit-led prayers, speaking Spirit-empowered prophetic words over each other, and sharing Spirit-inspired vision for the destiny of their church. Praise God! And I pray for Holy Spirit revival in your heart and your church. Please pray the same for me! God bless you!

Morning by Morning, September 20 - Songs of Gladness and Victory

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be exalted in my heart and throughout the moments of my day.  ...

"The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will renew you in His love; He will exult over you with loud singing as on a day of festival" (Zephaniah 3:17).

What song of gladness are You singing over me today, Lord? What battles are You giving me victory over today, Lord?

Open wide the gates
Let every path be made straight
For the King of Glory is coming soon!

Lift high your hearts
He finishes what He starts
For the King of Glory is coming soon!

Don't hold back
Advance and attack
For the King of Glory is coming soon!

The mountains will tremble and the earth will shake
Unlock the doors and open the gates
For the King of Glory is coming soon!

So with all that I have and all that I am
I give it all to You, the Great I Am
For the King of Glory is coming soon!

"Who is this King of Glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of Glory many come in.
Who is this King of Glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of Glory" (Psalm 24:8-10).

Thank You, Lord. Keep opening my eyes to see, opening my ears to hear. Let me hear You sing Your song of gladness over me all day. Let me see You go before for me in victory all day. Keep coming into my heart and into my life as the King of Glory, strong and mighty, mighty in battle, established and exalted in eternal victory. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

My Friend,  I pray the Holy Spirit will open your eyes and ears to hear and see the Spirit of the Lord singing over you and moving mightily before you today. Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!

Please keep us is prayer as I go to Kingswood United Methodist Church in Amarillo, Texas on Sunday, September 22 to join with them in what they are calling their Holy Spirit Revival - A Day Apart for Our Destiny.

Morning by Morning, September 19 - Five Keys of Revival

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Revive my soul, awaken my spirit into the new of life of this new day to live for You with all that I have and all that I am. ...

"I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David; he shall open, and no one shall shut; he shall shut, and no one shall open" (Isaiah 22:22).

"These are the words of the Holy One, the True One, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens" (Revelation 3:7).

With hungry hearts for a move of Your Spirit, You turned our Prayer and Prophecy Conference into a Holy Spirit Revival at the East Stone Gap United Methodist Church tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains of at Big Stone Gap, Virginia. And the revival fires are still burning in those hungry hearts! William Branham prophesied long ago another great awakening would arise in these mountains, roar through the gap and across America for the great harvest to come. As it was in the spreading of the people in the natural realm, so it will be in the spreading of the Spirit in the spiritual realm. First the physical, then the spiritual (1 Corinthians 15:46). And as You prophesied long ago, there will be a great harvest at the end of the age (Matthew 13:36-43). Lord, we pray for that revival, for that harvest, for that great awakening in our land and to the ends of the earth.

You sent our great friend Heather Butler from Wales with a prophetic word to release the five keys of the Welsh Revival:  Brokenness and Humility; Intercession and Weeping of Repentance; Praise and Worship; Evangelistic Passion; and Love. Through Heather, You sang Your Word over us (Zephaniah 3:17). And You spoke to our spirits as Deep called unto deep, through both prayer and prophecy (Psalm 42:7). You're releasing Your word into our hearts -- not only for us, but for all; not only for this time, but for all time.

Your Spirit declared, "It is time!" And Your Spirit reminded us that the Church of Christ, filled with the Spirit of Christ, hold the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven that the gates of hell cannot prevail against (Matthew 16:18-19). In the power of Your love, all by the grace of God, we will arise and go through the gates (Isaiah 62:10). By the word of Your Spirit burning in our hearts, we proclaim as one, "One to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord" (Psalm 118:19). "Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in!" (Psalm 24:9)  In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

My Friend,  I pray the Holy Spirit would move in your spirit with His keys of revival that will open the gates of righteousness and shut the gates of hell in your life and your land. I pray the consuming Fire of God would burn in your heart and awaken your spirit with a passion for Jesus. I pray the zeal of the Lord would consume you, as He sends you in the power of His love to kindle the fire of His Presence in every heart around you. That's the revival, the great awaking for the great harvest the Lord desires -- in you and to the ends of the earth.  Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!

Friends, I can't really put into words all the encounters with God in the manifest Presence and glory of the Lord we've been experiencing in this exciting season. But I thank you so much for all your prayers for me and our ministry, with all your encouragement and support that make theses journeys and adventures with Jesus possible. Morning by Morning, September 17 - Fire in the Mountains!

Good morning, Lord Jesus. O Lord, my God, how majestic is Your name; how mighty is Your power; how glorious is Your Presence. I soak in Your Presence and listen for Your voice as I wait for the leading of Your Spirit this morning.  ...

"The Lord said to Moses, 'Come up to Me on the mountain, and wait there.... Then Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain. The glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days; on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the cloud. Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel. Moses entered the cloud, and went up on the mountain..." (Exodus 24:12-18).

This is my sixth day in the mountains. For three days I've been in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, praising You and pouring out my heart with my great friends Ben and Jay from Texas in ministry with the men at the Living Waters Men's Retreat. How deeply moving to be surrounded by a hundred men from so many places lifting up our hands to Heaven and opening up our hearts to Your Holy Spirit. You moved mightily among up us with deep healing and great deliverance, refreshing and renewing us in the glory cloud of Your Presence.

And now for three days I've been in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, shaking in the Spirit with the rumblings of revival at Big Stone Gap, ministering with my great friend and prophetic psalmist, Heather Butler from Wales, to release Your Word in the land at this eastern gate of the nation. You're fanning the flames of Your Spirit, breaking open the hearts of stone, and preparing the way of the Lord to move mightily again in another great awakening of the power of Your love.

Lord, let there be Fire in the mountains! Let it burn through the valleys and across the plains until all have been consumed with the zeal of the Lord and the consuming fire of our God, "for indeed our God is a consuming Fire" (Hebrews 12:29). Let the holy Fire of Your Holy Spirit set hearts ablaze with a passion for Jesus to the glory of the Father.

Thank You for the honor of joining this adventure to proclaim Your Good News that "(our) God reigns" in these mountains and to the ends of the earth (Isaiah 52:7). "Your name, O God, like Your praise, reaches to the ends of the earth (Psalm 48:10). "O that You would tear open the heavens and come down, so that the mountains would quake at Your Presence -- as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil -- to make Your name known to Your adversaries, so that the nations might tremble at Your Presence!" (Isaiah 64:1-2)

Yes, Lord! Let us hear Your call and embrace Your command to "Go through, go through the gates, prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway, clear it of stone, lift up an ensign over the peoples. The Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth ... 'See, Your Salvation comes.... And they shall be called, 'The Holy people, the Redeemed of the Lord' ..." (Isaiah 62:10-12). O Lord, let us see it in our generation and every generation to come. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

My Friend,  I pray the consuming Fire of God would burn in your heart and awaken your spirit with a passion for Jesus. I pray the zeal of the Lord would consume you and He sends you in the power of His love to kindle the fire of His Presence in every heart around you. That's the revival the Lord desires -- in you and to the ends of the earth.

I could never do it without you and your incredible covering of prayer support! I pray a hundredfold and more of every blessing of God be poured into your life and ministry to open the heavens and shift the atmosphere of earth wherever you are in Jesus' name!

Morning by Morning, September 11 - "Repairer of the Breach"

Good morning, Lord Jesus. As I remember the pain and terror my country endured on this day of September 11, twelve years ago, I also remember You and the pain and terror You endured for all of us. You are well-acquainted with suffering and grief, torture and terror, yet You endured and overcame for the joy that was set before You in the eternal peace You've prepared for us (Hebrews 12:1-2). From that place, lead my spirit in prayer this morning.  ...

"The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like spring of water, whose waters never fail. Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to live in" (Isaiah 58:11-12).

Lord of all creation, Lord of every nation, give us a heart as a people that's humble before You -- calling upon Your name, seeking Your help, willingly choosing to be desperately dependent upon You alone as our Salvation. Forgive us for every measure of self-centered independence from You, for defiance from Your will and ways and authority over our lives, for arrogance to believe we can build our fortunes and destinies in our own image as a declaration and monument to our own power.

Renew us with a right Spirit, that we may rebuild the ruins of our lives with a right heart (Isaiah 58:6-10). Let us "take delight in the Lord" (v. 58:14). Then "(our) light shall rise in the darkness and (our) gloom be like the noonday" (v. 58:10). Then "(our) light shall break forth like the dawn and (our) healing shall spring up quickly; (our) vindication shall go before (us), the glory of the Lord shall be (our) rear guard. The (we) shall call, and the Lord will answer; (we) shall cry for help, and He will say, Here I Am" (v. 58:8-9).

By the power of Your grace, in the faithfulness of Your steadfast love and tender mercies, may we be a people freed from "pride and arrogance of heart," not rebuilding in our wisdom, not seeking rebirth in the spirit of this world, but by the Spirit of our God (Isaiah 9:8-10). Let Your Spirit be upon us that we may "be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord to display His glory. (Then in the power of Your Spirit alone, we) shall build up the ancient ruins, (we) shall raise up the former devastations; (we) shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations" (Isaiah 61:1-4). In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Be encouraged today! In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays

My Friend,  I join with you in prayer for the continued healing of our nation and that our rebirth and rebuilding may be by the Spirit of the Lord in humility and faith before our God. I pray you would be a repairer of the breach by the power of our God in all your spheres of influence.  Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!

I look forward to getting up early and writing these morning prayers from my morning prayer time each day and then sharing them with you. Thank you for joining with me in this journey of prayer that's continued for many years now. I will be away in the mountains of North Carolina for several days with probably very limited access to the internet. So I may not be sending out my prayers for a few days. I do pray for your deep intimacy in prayer with the Lord and please pray that for me. God bless you!
