Finding the Lost Coin of Peace 12-1-06

Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are my Lord and Savior. I entrust my life and this day to You. ... "Or what woman having ten silver coins, if she loses one of them, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.' Just so I tell you there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents" (Luke 15:8-10). Last night, I was one of the "friends and neighbors" who rejoiced in the presence of the angels of God with a young wife and mother who entrusted her life to You fully for the first time. Your Holy Spirit led her, through a friend, to come join us for our Alpha Course at church. Throughout those ten weeks, she was searching for the peace she felt she had lost somewhere along the way. But when she chose to open her heart to You -- "Whoom!" as she said -- You filled her heart with a Peace that she had never known -- the Peace that only comes with Your Presence. And all the angels rejoiced! Praise You, Lord Jesus! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. Be encouraged today!
