Morning by Morning, June 2 - We Need a Move. This is a Move. We are the Move! Good morning, Lord Jesus. Make me more like You today (Romans 8:29). ... “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:24-28). In You “we live and move and have our being.” And by the grace of God, in the mystery of faith, You “live and move and have (Your Being)” in us! “Christ in (us), the hope of glory!” (Colossians 1:27). You “(do) not dwell in temples made with hands.” You dwell in us! Our bodies are Your temple; our hands our Your hands; our hearts are Your home! As Your Word asks each one of us to ponder and believe and receive this truth, “Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? ... Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:15-19) “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (v. 17). Last night we were ministering with the men and women of God at the monthly lighthouse gathering for Aglow International Ministries in Boerne, Texas. The anointed worship leaders we leading us in a song of crying out to You that “We need a move” -- a move of Your Holy Spirit. As we pressed in deeper with passion for Your Presence, the words became, “This is a move!” And what You spoke into my heart to become the message and ministry of the evening was “We are the move!” For Your Spirit dwells in us. Your Spirit moves in us, moves through us, changes our world all around us because You abide within us! Our lives are not our own -- they are Yours. We not building our temples, but Your Temple; not our kingdoms but Your Kingdom. In You, “we live and move and have our being.” And at the same time, in us, “(You) live and move and have (Your Being)!” “As (You are), so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). The same Spirit that raised You from the grave now lives in us (Romans 8:11). By the power of Your grace at work within us, “(We) are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwell in (us)” (Romans 8:9). “Blessed are (we), for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon (us).... on our part He is glorified” (1 Peter 4:14). “If anyone speaks, let him speak as the utterances of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever!” (1 Peter 4:11). We need a move! This is a move! We are the move! All by Your grace, all in Your name, all for Your glory! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
