"Guided by the Spirit" 4-29-07

Good morning, Lord Jesus. You and the Father are One, and You come to dwell in my heart by Your Holy Spirit. I open my heart to You today. ... "Guided by the Spirit, Simeon came into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for Him what was customary under the law, Simeon took Him in his arms and praised God..." (Luke 2:27-28). I want to be guided by Your Spirit in all things. And the Holy Spirit is always leading us to You -- to embrace You and praise God. As You said of the ministry of the Holy Spirit, "He will glorify Me, because He will take what is Mine and declare it to you" (John 16:14). Come, Holy Spirit. Guide me and lead me to Jesus, Who always draws me into the arms of my Father, Who always pours out the promise of the Spirit. Draw me "into the temple" -- into the place of intimacy and praise. Here in the temple of my heart, I worship You Lord God in the Oneness of each dimension of Your Being -- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As Jesus promised, "You will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you" (John 14:20). Here in the temple of my heart, I praise You Lord God. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
